Church in the City is a Church located on the Esplanade in Toronto. This Church oversees the Cornerstone Community Dinner that provides a hot meal including dessert every Saturday throughout the year. There is a different church and sometimes two, every week, supporting this ministry by taking turns making meals or providing dessert.

What we do
We (Cedarview) are on a rotation the second Saturday of every other month, providing a full dinner OR dessert coffee, tea and juice. We meet at Cedarview at 2:15 pm for the dinner night (more time needed for preparation) and 2:30 pm for the dessert night. Arrange carpool groups (you do not have to drive downtown Toronto if you do not want to). Drive about an hour to Toronto (it takes longer if there are major (ie. sporting) events in Toronto that day), set up, cook dinner, or prepare desserts then serve.
You can serve where you are comfortable, either with prep and plating or serving and interacting with the guests. We are usually back to Cedarview about 8:30pm.
This ministry is a wonderful way to be the "hands and feet of Jesus."
Try it at least once.
